Hakeem Kae-Kazim is a Nigerian born, English raised South African actor now living in Los Angeles, California. He has appeared in numerous British, American and South African films, television shows and theatre productions. He is best known for his roles in Redemption, 24 Series, Lost Series, Pirates of The Caribbean: At Worlds End,  God is African, and Hotel Rwanda, just to mention a few.

 

 

Minna Salami is Finnish and Nigerian by heritage. She was born in Finland, grew up in Nigeria, studied in Sweden and currently resides in London. Minna lived and worked in Spain and New York where she led a career as a Marketing/Project Manager. She now works as a freelance writer, writing articles about the African Diaspora, women’s issues, Afropolitans, feminism, men, masculinity, culture and lifestyle. Minna runs a culture-analytic blog and fashion boutique both called Ms Afropolitan.

 

Nonkululeko Godana is a South African online and broadcast communications specialist and writer. She has 10 years experience in various media, including print, broadcast and online. She is also known for her cultural activism in the poetry and literature space; as well as for her social entrepreneurship work with youth mentorship and creating bridges between community storytelling and the digital space.

 

 

Pinky Ghelani is a model, media personality & mother. Former Miss India Kenya and top Kenyan model, Pinky has been in the media for many years. She has worked as a top radio and TV presenter, editor of Society and Drum Magazine in Kenya, as well as feature as an actor in local Kenya TV series as well as international films. Pinky now runs her own company that deals in events and brand development.

 

Tresor Riziky is a Congolese (DRC) born singer/songwriter under Universal Music Publishing, based in South Africa. He is very passionate about music, life and Africa . Often he is described by media and music industry professionals as the soulful voice from the heart of Africa. TRESOR has shared stages with many great artists such as Eddy Grant, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Gold Fish, Vusi Mahlasela, and Johny Clegg, just to name few.

 

 

Buddha Blaze is a writer, event organizer and arts activist. He has been editor of PHAT Magazine and has written for many publications including Baobab, Tribes Mag, ADAM, and Standard just to name a few. Blaze runs a monthly hip hop movement called WAPI that started in Kenya and he replicated in Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi and South Sudan. Blaze loves culture and the world. He is currently involved in various events and projects.

 

Athambile Masola is currently a Masters student at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, as a Mandela-Rhodes Scholar. She was born and bred in the Eastern Cape. She loves love, life and everything else. “Ndingumntu ngenxa yabanye abantu, I am part of all whom I have met”. Right now she is trying to live the examined life because "an unexamined life is not worth living"(Socrates). She hopes to be a teacher one day.

 

 

Eno Inwek is Africa’s Ambassador of Possibility based in California. She developed a love of sharing stories of her journey through public speaking. She considers herself a work in progress. Her mission is to use her ongoing and developing story to inspire others to transcend adversity, find their own unique voice, and embrace the infinite possibilities that await each and every one of us provided we are willing to reach out and transform our lives.

 

Mark Devlin is a UK-based club and radio DJ, music journalist and author, specialising in R&B, soul, hip hop and other forms of black music. Mark’s early gigs in Oxford paved the way for DJ work throughout the rest of the UK. He has played in about 40 countries worldwide. He edited the Clubhoppin’ section of Blues & Soul, he co-founded the on-line urban music portal Black Sheep Magazine and has just completed his first book, ‘Tales From The Flipside’.

 

 

Tuggs.t.a.r is a Hip Hop inspired social commentarian. He is a spoken word artist, writer, as well as a motivational speaker that works in the arena of Personal Development. Tuggs.t.a.r has his roots in the arts, and uses poetry as a method to reach, teach and inspire people through his awesome ability to communicate. Along with poetry, he uses journalism, short stories, plays and scripts to touch people's hearts and open their minds from possibility to probability.
