About Mathew Moolman

Mathew is an exceptionally talented young man. A Cape Town native, Mathew is now well-known for his smooth and soulful voice after he took part in the M-Net show Idols, and successfully cracked the top 12. This energetic performer then moved on to present on SABC 2’s Hectic Nine Nine television show for 18 months, gaining a nationwide following. Mathew, who comes from a musical family, has a love for music of days gone by - elements of the old school interlace his sound, including jazzy and soulful references. His musical abilities run deep, and he is able to play 5 instruments, including the Harmonica. Mathew has emerged from the studio after recording his debut album "Rhythm and Harmony" which he will be taking across South Africa in the coming months. 'Forever' is the first single off the album and is already catching the ears of listeners across SA. To top off the response from the public to Mathew’s debut album, up and coming house band GOODLUCK decided to use his voice to power their first single. Within weeks the single has reached the KFM Top 40. Mathew’s future plans are to finish his book “Two worlds collide” and also start on his second album due for release early 2012.
